abs pump test

hi all. some recent advice about my abs problem mentioned a possible problem with the abs pump. My ABS light never comes on, even on starting (bulb is there and working), my ABS works on all but the n/s/r wheel. How do I check if the punp is working? Is there a diagram of the ABS system? Thanks all....
