Bottletops look good imo because there subtle, understated and classic looking, so making them dished, polished and shiny is besides that.
Stick 'em on a hard slammed turd, with coilovers and you'll look a **** as soon as you start driving the thing, as your being slammed about when you go over any imperfection in the road surface, going incredibly slow round any corner because of your stupid wheels that constantly scrub on the arches, and the sidewalls may just give up at any point because you thought streching your tyres was a good idea.
Just an utter, huge, rediculous, massivle FAIL.

Ollie is gonna hate this if it takes off as it means bottletops will start going up in price and if they dont, rav's gonna buy them all and them sell them for a huge profit.
How much we looking at rav if you can pull this off?
And would they still be 14's? or are you able to change that with a new dish on? I dont know how it works you see...
Also, does that mean it can be done to a standard bbs wheel?

Jim
it'll depend on what we can get the centr size too, i still haven't got hold of a bottle top as yet, but i have rs dishes lying around here, so we'll see what happens.
There is no costing atm either.

Hmmm... I will have a word with a friend of mine who brought my 6 of me and see if he has the other 2 sitting around. Only over in Leicester M69 junction 2 I think so not far from one and other anyway.
But let me find out first.

He said you can use one to try it out rav.
He needs to sort it out first though and bring it up to me so not yet.
Weekend most likely.
So, if you wanna pick it up from me at some point after that, that would be cool.
Post code is LE9 7SE just for your reference to see if its close enough.
He said though... He wants a set if you can pull it off at a discounted price.
Maybe the first tester set for free apart from obvious materials like the rims... Then you have something to show case.

Ollie- I thought you were relatively young ?- this is the opinion of someone the age of my granddad.Ollie_bwoii wrote:Bottletops look good imo because there subtle, understated and classic looking, so making them dished, polished and shiny is besides that.![]()

You can make a very low car without a huge impact in ride quality with the use of good quality components (with in reason) and correct spring rates. My colleague's e30 is approx an inch off the floor using BC coilovers and the ride quality is very good.
As rav says you have a lot to learn, rather than regurgitating something you have read.
Back on topic.
This could look awesome but as stated you could just buy some schmidt th lines.
