ah right i see, il go through it all actually been meaning to price everything into the thread.pony wrote:yeah sorry i meant how much did it cost in total to do the work so it was good enough to get through a MOT?
so first off to get through mot, total is : £110 parts being ;-
new wheel hub £30
had to buy a new welder purely for it so £30
new mig wire x2 £10
gas £8
welding sheet £20
underseal cans x2 £16
headlight bulbs x2 £4
front licence plate £10
everything else iv spent is :
paint job - paints, thinners, materials for prep total, roughly £150
sold the bbs's on it for £70
bought the mims for £75
tyres x4 £30
tinted rears £8, £5 of which was p+p
was already on lowered coils which cost the previous owner £100
this doesnt really count as i cocked it up but a BANG TIDY decal sticker £2.50 which lasted all of 5 seconds when i realised it was backwards from the outside lol
parts bought but not installed are
new fuel tank, filler neck and indicator stalk for £40 really should get this done.
another window decal saying, 'this sticker adds 5 bhp' lol pretty much ruining this car to any enthusiasts but ah well i like em lol
and i do believe thats is!
not including the £15 a week in rent on unit to store it along with the other projects.

so got a bit bored and with a dodgy icv decided to remove and clean

took the icv off and flushed out the gunk with clutch cleaner and rag apparently wasnt a good idea as when i put it back on didnt work at all car cut out on cold idle so 10 quid later and a drive to warboys fitted a new second hand guarenteed tested working icv and runs better then before

seemed like a good idea whilst it was off to clean the throttle body would of been handy to show how filthy it was before hand but i forgot to take a pic but used quite a bit of wd4o and clutch cleaner and quite a bit of blue paper to clean it out
yesterday was yet again bored and with the heat on my head decided to respray the whole grill

will be respraying the whole car in black or red or a completely different custom colour what ever i can get my hands on really lol as im always driving it and keeping white clean is hard work lol
anybody got any paint lying around? lol
whilst rummaging through my boot come across this in line fuel filter so thought id bodge it on! surprisingly doesnt leak....

all thats left mechanically is to find out whys its running really rich, checked the plugs and they show its rich and can distinctly smell it in the cabin, adjusted both the throttle and the air flow meter so its idling at 800 - 850 rpm yet it still runs rich anybody any ideas?
