lol these threads are always the same, start off as a bit of harmless fun, then ends up a slanging match, surely a simple answer to the question is all it needs. I say they are probably a bit on the large size for my taste, but whatever floats your boat. :D

It's not a slanging match just a bit of harmless name-calling.

besides, the Brovs started it. :D

I've already stated in another thread the best E30 wheels so I don't know why this thread was even started - why can't people use the search tool

15" BBS.
16" Alpina.
14" Bottletops.

The end.

Borbets, Azevs and all that Brovchavstic stuff just don't work. Nobody buys a brand new BMW and then goes and puts rank wheels on so why do it an E30?

he heeee, great threadage

anything over 16 should be confined to the track.

I like the OP wheels - on a bangle 5 series. not an e30 - however the rest of the car would be the sex on 1 piece staggered alpinas (the rest of the car is rather good though)

The only real wheel for an e30 is the 16" hartge split rim. I have a set of classic one pieces and the hugely sought after splits.

The one piece classics will be the every day wheels, the splits will make a debut soon

Hartge one piece - they are the best all round e30 wheel - strong, light & people crave them :D

quality thread :) this is the wheel of choice

Goldy - I think your 7 looks really good mate. But I wouldn't go for 18s on an E30 - IMO

Best wheel is either 15" or 16" Pinas, only if both are mint

nothing goes anywhere near them, the ones the Op posted are dreadfull

each to their own! i personal (aswell as a lot of others) dont really like a completly standard looking e30. hence why people try different things to them. not everyone has the same taste, or else everyones motor would be the same. this aint no dig, just my thoughts on this

BBS RS are part of the blanket coverage of the period BBS range.

But that other type of BBS some E30 owners use are truly awful - the BBS RC I think?

I have 5 x 15" BBS in mint condition and just got hold of a set of mintish Alpina 16's.

My wheel decisions are this laid to rest forevermore.

Agreed that 15 or 16 inch wheels are the best for an e30, But those 18inch Alpinas do look good on that car  . As for how it drives well thats another question !!!
