We're out.
I'm totally gutted that we can't go now, this should have been Nichola's birthday present. We've been going down hill since I become unemployed and we've got to the point where goodies are gonna have to be a thing of the past.
Sorry guys. I thought we'd be able to sort something but it's just not gonna happen.
Sorry that we've had to pull out only a week before the date but there's nothing we can do.

Thanks guys
We had a huge shock in the last few days and I was worried I woulndn't be able to even buy food, but we're getting there.
I feel really bad cos I decided that when the other Scottish meet went west, cos the guy organinsing pulled out, that I would step up and try sorting something, but now I've done the same thing.
I'm really sorry

I can't make it either - I won't be in Scotland unfortunately.
Sorry to hear about your situation Hayley - hope things get better for you soon.
For those who are in the central Scotland area - I'm wondering if we should take the same approach of those from the North and set up a monthly meet somewhere convenient - that way there's more than one chance in the year that we'll get to meet up !
If there's interest I'll start another thread.

Dunno if i'll make it on Sunday.
I may be fiddling/tweaking with the suspension and possibly playing around/bodging the next brake upgrade if I get my pedal box before the weekend.

Could be a good day out:
The Scottish Tuning Show Featuring European Drifiting Championship
Sun May 17th
9am - 5pm
This is going to be the biggest event of the year for all modified fans!
The Scottish Tuning Show: all that’s new in the world of custom and tuned cars, with everything from super trick suspension to engine tuning parts, exhaust systems, wheel, tyres, body kits and custom paint. The European Drifting Championship is an internationally acclaimed event where competitors drive immaculately prepared cars with enormous skill and precision, right on the limit ”“ and sometimes beyond!
The ”˜sport’ of drifting originated in Japan and quickly gained a massive fan base and cult status, which hugely accelerated when the top cars and drivers starred in a Hollywood movie entitled ”aThe Fast and the Furious”a which centred around the colourful, tyre smoking cars and starred action man actor Vin Diesel. A second, follow up film, ”aTokyo Drift”a greatly helped to capture the imagination of fans and a great display of action is expected when the high powered cars hit the Knockhill track.
Time Attack at Knockhill See Time Attack at Knockhill See European Drifting at Knockhill in MAY
The Scottish public will have the opportunity to view the breathtaking sight of seeing high powered cars, deliberately being thrown into lurid broadside slides, at speeds reaching 110mph, whilst approaching a series of Knockhill’s trickiest bends!!
For the spectator, it is an exciting and thrilling viewing experience, with door to door performances, near misses, high speeds, unbelievable angles of drift and plenty of tyre smoke. Combine this with glamorously decorated professional cars and you have a motorsport event for all the family.
Entrants are judged on speed, angle of attack, execution and style, rather than conventional racing, whereby the winner is usually the one which passes the finish line first.
Drift cars are normally mid-sized, rear wheel drive sports cars and the majority of the field is made up of Japanese manufactured cars, due to the sport being born in Japan. However, with drifting exploding worldwide, it is becoming more popular for American and European built cars to be used as a base model for a drift car.
Running alongside the ”˜EDC’ is the ”˜TIME ATTACK SERIES’, with over 100 seriously tuned and modified cars, especially Japanese marques, battling it out to see just who is the quickest on the Circuit.
”˜TIME ATTACK’ competitors will drive hard against the clock, to set the quickest lap time.
Anyone else..........?

You could just post up the idea and see what interest you get, rather than waiting for responses on a different thread.Topblag wrote:

You'll probably find there's a few who will make the effort to turn up on a regular or semi regular basis.

If I can get my new brake parts on Friday night, there's a good chance i'll be in a position to make it along to KH on Sunday.

As for the trip to KH - AAAAHHHH I've to pull out - my mother in law is arriving from Ireland on Saturday til Monday - wife organized it and apparently told me about it - can't remember that!!
Looks like we're going for a drive on Sunday up the east coast to St Andrews stop for some fish and chips at Anstruther!! Worst bit is we'll be leaving the E30 in Edinburgh!
I'm really gutted - I was looking forward to meeting you all.
