made a start on removing the running gear off the car this morning.
engine is almost ready to come out.
removed aall the stuff underneath, only topside to finish

nice work Glenn, got to be done. reminds me of pulling out the first m30 and putting the new one in needing different mounts, exhaust, electrical connections etc - lot of work but worth it!

anyway it was the wrong colour before. everyone knows the fastest e30s are bronzit beige :D

superb Glenn m8 good work that engine is just Pure SEX material i bet u kiss it each day lol i kno i would! one day m8 id love a e30 with one of them in superb!! i bet also i just noticed the number plate is E350 perfect for ur car as it is a e30 and its a 5.0 litre!! so E35.0!!! :wink:

I have just read page 1 -18 start to finish. VERY IMPRESSIVE Glenn!!! It takes a lot of guts to lay down so much money on this sort of project. Just wanted to say FANTASTIC JOB!!!!!!!

thanks for the comments
but this project is going on hold for a little while,
and i'm not going to be using the bronze bomber now as i've acquired
a m3 shell to take the v8 running gear.
but i cant bring the shell here yet as i'm now about to start a V12 touring.
when i start that project,( picking up the 750i next weekend) i'll put a
build thread up for it

Yea i have it as my windows background. I love the original schnitzer colours. I think that has an s62 turbo in it?

Were selling our group A car in march to buy one of the original cecotto group A cars in these colours, i cant wait!
