I've been back to these threads for inspiration again recently. Got some stuff done to my own S50 project. Copied your servo relocation and I'm waiting on a few bits from BMW to get the engine sat in the bay.

Hope the rest of the cleanup is going well dude.. Is normality restored at your place or far from it?

glad to hear the car is salvageable after all the hard graft you put in

a good mate of mine had his car float off down a major road in sheffield about a week before you got the big rain. he was only tpft so his options were to chuck it away or try and get it going......

i had it recovered and it turned up looking like munkey had had hold of it, on its knees with the weight of water and silt and quite possibly the worst smelling car ive ever experienced.

we stripped and cleaned it to within an inch of its life and only replaced a few key electrical items. pissed all over the bonfires of several doubters when it went back on the road

Glad to see you're all fit and well and carrying on the good fight here on 'the Zone'. I'm pleased to see that in my absence for the past 7 weeks I haven't been demoted to milk monitor, or should I say promoted

Back "On topic" this car will live again, not for a fair while though.

I've got some work done on my Red S50 touring in the last couple of weeks after burning out a Z3M diff but that's by the by. I'll update the old thread at the weeked with a couple of pictures and a write up of what I have done to it.

afaik, it was on the road, sold, reshelled into a 2 door, sold again and now belongs to chris (billgatese30) and is getting the spanking it deserves
