the chip helps with that issue with 2nd to 3rd, the sport box is far better though in all respects, on mine the problem is more pronouced as I've got the 3.64 final drive, 60 in 2nd no worries but that hole is bigger
I wonder why the ratios were chosen this way, the sport gear cluster is the right combo for sure but the 3.91 final drive may play a small part in the "feel" of the car.

real mtech1 where built from late 87 to early 88 and then mtech2 came in , but the engine parts are 100% the same execpt the injectors that doesn't have the clips thingy and that has independant wires to each injector and not the plastic ramp.
a part from that, its the same mecanic, same comp ratio, only the 85-86 engine had 9.4:1 comp ratioos and def not mtechs cause they all had 8.8:1 ratios just like the Mtech2 ....
then comes one the confort of the 90s witch get the car heavier ....
that the big diff ;)
otherwise the same thing , they both look marvelous , but i do admit i like 1 best as i got used to them

To be honest, I think M-tech 1 with a few Mtech touches seem to work best. I changed the front lights to facelift 'smileys' as well as an M-tech 2 spoiler. The spoiler looked good but the bottom end of the car has to be a bit more chunky so i'm looking for a Scorpion exhaust with straight tailpipes and a 30mm drop. M-tech 1 in this guise is a MEAN MACHINE!
Old Skool's toooooooooo cool!
