0.46 is almost .5 of 1. So 3.73 means just under 3/4. 3.15=about 1/10th

So a dogleg box needs a numerical lower box???

all this diff talk has got me thinking....what diff do you think I may have, the car now is m30'd,however the diff is the original from when it started life as a lowly 316 m10 carb 1987. Havnt got the car running yet btw.Cheers Alex

erm.. id say something high like a 4.1 or higher.

Doesn't in practice - it means a useless first gear, and effectively a four speed gearbox with a very low top gear.

suppose I need to look for a cheap open diff which is a bit higher.Alex
