Adam you got me thinking now, that would look so good, i might get another kit and run them as my Hi beam, just on there own there just as good as the pressent Hi beam lights are now and because ive gone for the really blue tint look, my Hi beam lights look crap and yellow even after buying the bluest Hi Beam bulb they sell, the electric guy said that it only takes 5 mins to swap your old bulbs back in if you have MOT trouble, what do you think

My car passed the mot no problem with xenons, so only thing is it would preferable to have a headlight cleaning system as a dirty glass can cause glare, self leveling can get away without it as long as your lamps are aimed properly!
I should be getting a 6000K system soon or may be lower K we'll see!

I am standard now after a partly succesful theft of the headlamps, they were after the HIDS, they ripped the cables out of the ballasts which were secured away from the lamps. This was before christmas, I was running 6500K which did get lots of attention plus unwanted attention from crooks!

I had an alarm but it didn't have proximity sensors, plus the bonnet was not opened, they just savagely ripped the lamps out, broke the clips for the connectors, I had so many ears to the gound but not a word, someone must have heard i was after blood, and realised the lamps they thought they were nicking were useless when they tried hooking the hid bulbs to 12v, LOL without ballasts!

Does anyone know why you need headlight washers with xenon lights. I know it is a legal requirement but i cant think why?

Hi Rusty, i think its something to do with keeping your glass lens clean to reduce glare, as they reckon that dirty headlight lens will cause glare to other drivers

The higher the k the brighter/whiter the light i think!
And ive also heard the washers are for when it snows cause Xenons give off no heat and wont melt snow, not that we see that much in this country anyway....

Not quite. Its to do with the bulbs running at a lower temp, and if you have snow/ice on the lamp a halogen would melt this, but a Xenon bulb wont. Its impossible to produce glare with a Projector.dale325i wrote:Hi Rusty, i think its something to do with keeping your glass lens clean to reduce glare, as they reckon that dirty headlight lens will cause glare to other drivers
Karan for ultimate lighting you would need one of the 55w Philips HID bulbs.

Hi Andrew,
whats that got to do with headlight washers , i would of thought that if you have ice and snow on your headlights whats the chances of your washer bottle being frozeNot quite.
