The washing up liquid is not the only component required, you also need salts to be present in order for it to rot rubber. So wash off the excess chaps, mind you it's unlikely than the 3 weeks per year that we get road salt is going to kill a bush.Simon13 wrote:it does attack rubber i don't know how or why but i've repaired many 100mm drainage/flue pipes at work.
