I used to customise cars but always used the less is more approach. These days i'm an old fart and I like them to be as original as possible. But it's your car so do what ever you feel.

Whats with the tyres, they look massive, do you not have low profile tyres in OZ or are they better for the outback?
The car looks very original, hard to really see from the photos but its very retro, especially in gold.

thanks mate the wheels are 16" x 7" with 50r 225 on the rear and 45r 215 on the front but 225 go super close to rub so I probably run 45r or 50 all round with 205 front and 215 rear. it has realy low springs with the factory sports shocks buti just got a set of 325is springs which came with the e28 mtech spoiler for $250 so they will probably go in it for rego because its super stiff and I can put it round a deciant corner with the foot down at 100mph no probs!!daboy3000 wrote:Whats with the tyres, they look massive, do you not have low profile tyres in OZ or are they better for the outback?

I don't know what your roads are like over there but hear the roads where the cops aren't have massive potholes so softish suspension is better than super stiff!!! THERE SUPER LOW PROFILE HERE MATE you shouldse our standard road tyres they would me muddies for you haha

that's the style I always go for I only put period correct mods on a car like I wont put a v10 in the bmw cause its not from the eror the simmons were used a lot for racing and a similar version was used on the early e30 m3 jps so that was a major inspiration besides the 333i and hartgedaboy3000 wrote:Whats with the tyres, they look massive, do you not have low profile tyres in OZ or are they better for the outback?
