Changing control arms pads and discs

I had access to a ramp when I did the control arms - taking them off is pretty easy, except you might have to apply some pressure on the outer ball joints to stop the nuts spinning loose.

Also the bolts that hold the lolipop mountings could be seized (one of mine was), so keep that in mind.

Anyway after taking them off, I got stuck at the point where I had to put the new lolipops on the arms...You're supposed to use some soap to make it easier to mount + copper hammer.

Kept banging on it with no luck lol I'm either useless or it's not so easy...

Mind you, I bought them complete with the housings (Febi part numbers 21472 and 21473).

Had to ask my mechanic friend to fit them for me, but the rest was pretty straightforward. Oh, don't use an impact gun when tightening the bolts on those mountings...I snapped a few

On the lollipop bushes into the frame tyre soap or a weak mix of washing up liquid to water ratio could help as it lubes and then drys out.

Bit like replacing BMX / push bike handlebar grips.

Picked up the m3 lolipop bushes this morning (2 in the box)

Yes grrr no problem il take lots of pics as its done and of the parts etc, also got lots of pics of the previously fitted parts - like the refurbed powder coated sub frame and anti roll bar and the drop links and bushes etc so a nice wiki article can be put together

Got 1 order yesterday from car parts for less, 1 lemforder control arm and pads but as I spread the orders wisely to use the discount codes, the pagid discs were not in stock ao ive had to wait until Monday , I said well it's useless paying for next day delivery and I got them to refund all delivery charges
