We've all done it mate, me, a rusted out Mk3 Escort finished in splendid faded orange, far from cool, but by 18 or so I could afford to insure an Astra GTE which also at the time, it was listed as the fourth most stolen car in the UK

i don't seem to be able to get a quote for 1980 1990 vw golf's/jettas 1.6td's surly thay'd be the cheapest car to insure and and hopefully nobody would know what they are

Look for something 1000cc or less would help, but sadly, these days, insurance for youngsters is very difficult to get sub £1500.

do you guys know insurance companies preferences for quoting 0-60. liters. desirability.
for instance would a 520 have the same quote as a 320
