I don't have problems with a 60/40 (H&R) drop and mine is in daily use.

It's a very comfortable car to drive, handles well and the ride quality is significantly better than a Type R I was using this afternoon. Road humps need to be approached with respect and sudden steep inclines onto driveways can scrape the lip, but dealing with these quickly becomes second nature.

I think 10mm extra with the tophats is a bit too optimistic tbh.j2b wrote: gives you an xtra 10mm on the frontwill be doing this when my shocks need replacing got 40mm all round at the mo

Cooks car looks spot on to me. I had Eibach springs on my touring, 40mm drop I think or maybe 35mm. Still had the sump kissing the ground regularly, better shocks might have helped though.

Alpina didn't make 17" wheels in E30 fitment, you'll be getting some replicas usually made by BK aka "Burker King" due to their weight and cheeselike metal. If you do get them, make sure you use hubcentric spaces to keep the centre bore right or your next post on here will be "Strange vibration at 50mph".

Didn't alpina did make an e30 fitment 17" alpina wheel for the z1?

I've 60mm in the rears with coilovers adjusted on the front, sits nicely in the arches on the front although I'm waiting till the rear tyres wear down a little more so they can be changed for a lower profile.
