Time for another update on this.

The Sport went into the bodyshop to have the kit off and a "whats that brown stuff" inspection.

Well i knew it was going to be a bit tatty under the kit but Jeez. This is more than expected. Never mind its too good to scrap!

So i took these pics for your viewing pleasure:

Also some pics of the back end but i'm too scared to look at them again!

The outcome of all this will be a lot of welding and new panels:

2 Sills
2 Wings
Rear boot panel
Inner and outer arches
More but i've forgotten!

Decided it would be worth a full re-spray while its there. Oh and it'll also come out with an H&R Cup kit fitted. Sweet

Pics when its done!

ouch, thats nasty. When i took the kit of mine there was only rust on the rear arches and the bottom of the front wings.Had the whole lot painted new wings fitted etc ,aswell as painting the car as you know, so it'll be worth it in the end.

She's back!

Very shiney and particularly rustless. It was quite shocking the amount of rust on the car. I think there is more new metal than old now. New inner and outer arches, sills, front panel, wings and the list goes on. So now after mucho welding and a spanking respray in original Delphin I have some Sportiness back in my life

At the moment the car is pretty bare. No rear seats, badges or any of that lark.

Today i fitted a new blue temp sensor, smoked indicators and tried in vain to get the idle sorted (the battery was off for a while). Here's a few pics and more to follow when I get her finished.

Next on the list is more powaaar. I need to keep up with a pesky teg type-r. Answers on a postacrd.

Its good to have her back 8)

Had a good day getting the interior re-fitted. Sorted the idle out and gave her a good wash too.

I've been out for a thrash testing the H&R Cup Kit. Very tight and no drama. Also had e46 m3 cab rear top mounts fitted.

A few more pics

Nice suede Sport Evo wheel for the finishing touch. I'm in love

Thanks 8)

I'm not sure really. So many options. 2.7 or m52 2.8 or turbo. Could be anything right now. It probably won't be till next year because my insurance will have a fit!

no, do you need it?

i was going to save it for alec (kidsinister' c2 2.5) but he decided no to in the end so i didn't sak them to save it

i'll ask as they were going to use them as patterns for the new leather so i'll ask and see whether they still have them or whether they threw them away.

Try and get them back from the trimmers regardless. That way if some poor condition seats come up, I can buy the fabric back off you!

Would be good to see some pics of your minty leather when it's all done.
