It's really bad on fuel, any ideas, no leaks to report, strange?
Apart from that, really reliable.
Happy Christmas,

Quick update on the old banger!
We had a day of beautiful sunshine last week so i fitted the bootlid i bought ages ago from Dink. It was fairly painless, i swapped out all the internal stuff and cleaned up the number plate lights which were not working. They are now so that's cool. Wiper motor/wash/wipe was all fine and working. The bootlid was in really clean condition and really it was the last major job to do to it. Also, i spent some time adjusting the lock so it doesn't rattle like the old one, really annoying that was!

Other jobs done now include, the replacement of both front wishbones and TCA bushes for original parts. New drop links on the front too. There is now no wobbles or rattles from the front end and i've got to say overall now, the car is incredibly quiet and refined. The engine has now settled, the tappets are quiet and fuel consumption is what it should be.

Have just cleaned it loads and put a bit of love back into it, well worth it. The inside is now clean and a bit nicer for the kids too. Even the wife drove it on Friday and had to admit how much she enjoyed it!! Never thought i'd hear that.
Still have to look at the bits of rust by the towing hook and exhaust exit and it needs the tracking done.
Cheers all.
