5miles in 10 minutes is 30 mph.
Is it a 30 zone?
Seeing as you hit the limiter in 3rd I'd say you probably achieved it anyway and your clock is out.

it seems i made an error in my original post... the distance is 7.62 mile(s) (12.26km) according to the rac website and they quote 22 minutes for the journey!?! ( what the @uck is that all about!???!!? ) ...
http://route.rac.co.uk/routeplanner.cgi ... ubmit.y=11
anyway.. todays effot was allot better!! i even had a laugh at a mug( he could only be described as one ) in a more door o4 reg 318i who decided to have a go... you know... he was one of those @unts who when you sit at the traffic lights(yes this time isnt a clear run.. i hit two sets) he coasts until they go green then he boots it(well tries to) little did he know i had her at 3k on the bite... thats the last i saw of him.... well tell i lie.. i did glance in the rear view mirror and see him getting smaller... and smaller and smaller.. jog on son lol!!
i cant get the pic hosted at the moment due to photobucket being down for maintenance!! but what i can tell you is... 11 minutes 5 seconds.....
not shabby.... not too good... the sub 10 min mark is what im aiming for... maybe if i had double vanos i could get a better time!!!

all in a day... in the life of bmlover... what next?? who's next?? will i kill myself if i get an evo?? one thing you can be sure of... At every set of lights there is a victim.... the fact that if an estoril blue dirty six rolls up at the lights in the not too distant future should be enough to let people know what it is... and for the ones that dont.... oh well.....ImysE30 wrote:You definitely need to write a book, got the makings of one

The air seemed cooler this morning than it had been all week, i felt good in myself and knew that today was going to be my best effot yet.... i spoke to my friend kris and asked if he had seen any filth about on his way in... he replied... no.... that was all i needed to hear, it was as if lucifer himself had taken me over just so he could get his rocks off in the bavarian built hot rod...6 am came... i run to the car!! As if by magic the chip in the key was recognised by the ecu and allowing me to start the engine....
she fired after two turns(as usual) and i was off!!
The throttle response was sharp and she pulled hard through the gears like a brama bull but something seemed different about the car... it felt quicker than before!!..... maybe it was learning... maybe the machine was learning and improving itself.... adapting even... then it strikes me... the clock is ticking... a sobering thought.. so i push it harder, all was going well until i got stuck behind a clio on the final furlong.... so i sat behind him doing 50, i wasnt prepaired to put myself in jepordy by overtaking... i may be crazy but im not @ucking stupid!!
now for the time.........

im happy with that... now to apologise to the car for all the abuse she has taken these past mornings.. im going to change the oil+filter and treat her to a wash+wax+valet....
the only thing that gets me is my phone says one time and the clock says another... we are going by the clock!! either way im going to say just under 10 mins... i have achieved my goal...
