rewind:

sean writes on my feedback that I sell mediocre scrap - that is my issue

you are misled by assuming there is:

"no real reason but jealously from somebody that thinks he was going to make a killing on a car"

I clearly stated my position here I took £850 - I wanted £950, but hey I got over it before we shook hands. I didn't want to sell the car for more than I felt the parts were worth

We didn't discuss feedback at the time of sale. Let alone 'agree' to leave mutually positive comments.

Any money Sean will make, bares no relevance to how I feel. I was, and remain happy with the amount I received for my efforts during ownership.

I enjoyed driving it, and I let it go when the tax expired which was my intention when I bought the car! It DID work well for both of us - I have no quarms there but I asked sean to remove his initial feedback & the rest is well documented!!

- the alloys are less than 12 months old I believe, and actually very light, by Zenner
dave_M3 wrote:Yet you start the new thread by stating immediately what you sold the car for and what its advertised now in Ireland for
in an attempt to emphasise that seans comments of mediocre scrap were a bit harsh on my feedback. I only became aware of the advert last night.

all this after his txt apologising for being a **** and it was a good car for the money..

Sean has absolutely no compulsion to justify why he is selling it for more money - this is purely a feedback based issue.

I genuinely genuinely have no problem if sean sells it for €3k+

I do have a problem if I get slated for selling that car for what could be a fraction of its next sale price.

I would call a car thats idling rough and leaking petrol and a blowing exhaust"mediocre" too.

If those problems are fixed I suppose, its a good example then :P

He admitted the car was really only mediocre when he saw it once you dragged both your names through the mud... He said it was a "good care for the money" (which wasn't a whole lot of cash anyway) as he felt he was alittle harsh when dealing with you and felt guilty and apologized for it.

Feck it... I'm after running out of pop-corn now

I can catagorically state the rough idle started as a result of fitting the new back box the afternoon of the sale. but let's be honest, the car is worth £850 without an engine at all

..the back box I fitted without a jack using an undulation on the driveway so it needed some minor reseating, but a completely secure short term measure.

sean admitted on the garage forecourt that they all leak when brimmed with fuel - I never put more than £30 in at any point so was not to know.

these things were addressed in conversation and reflected in the asking price, but why sean wanted me to put positive feedback so badly I don't know, but here we are

I'm not replying anymore after this.

I've been in the gym for the last 2 hours and I've gotten a bit of outside perspective and I now see how much nonsense this whole thing is.

Barclay you've exposed yourself twice. You were flamed last night and you've been flamed again.

Thanks to Dave too. He's a true mate. :D

It's funny how after you started this whole episode, you are still not prepared to admit the facts

I have nothing to hide or lie about, whereas you have lied about almost every detail. I think ou are a pathalogical liar, and believe you are incapable of turning it off so much so that you actually believe your own lies.

The fact still remains, you threatened me via PM to leave you good feedback or you would edit yours - the evidence is there.

Since I refused to leave you feedback, and I responded to your edited words, you have consistantly lied and lied to benefit your case.

I guarantee you will not be able to keep up with all the small details that you have typed, you have already started revealing yourself

I will list them for the benefit of all involved but it will take a while to collate!

I'll tell you what mate. I'll buy you a shovel. You can use it to keep digging yourself into this hole you've gotten into.

da4x4turbo wrote:I met Barclay last week and I bought a car off him. There were a few more issues with the car than had originally been mentioned, but fair play to the guy though, we chatted for ages and eventually came to an agreement that suited both of us.

I'd be happy to deal with him again. :D

Edit: I left this feedback on the premise that Barclay would leave good feedback for me. He's refused to do this as he feels genuinely hard-done by because I negotiated a £100 discount.

On the other [Hypocritical] hand he has no problem whatsoever rationalizing the fact that he left me travel from Aberdeen to Chester to pick up a car that was infinitely more flawed than he let on. The train ticket alone costing me £100. + 7 hours on the bloody train.

There's no chance whatsoever that I'd deal with him again.

I emailed him a list of what I believed to be wrong with the car, and I swear to god I can't see how any sane person could believe the nonsense he came back with to refute my concerns.

He was a nice guy, but if you're expecting to get a decent car off him then you're better off not travelling.

If you're expecting something of mediocre to poor quality then he's your man.
:D
so you go from being happy to deal with me again, to never wanting to deal with me again - all because I don't leave you feedback.

Well you now have the feedback you deserve, I know that for sure.

Barclay/Sean

If you two want to argue about things.Do it via email or PM's and keep it off the forum

One feedback post about the transaction ,whether positive or negative is quite sufficient.

If you wish to drag it out between yourselves about Sean said this and Barclay said that etc etc ,take it somewhere else.

You've both been warned publicly AND it's getting rather tedious now

Yes mate, we were both happy with the deal. Then when I pm'd you and told you I'd left my feedback you replied and basically said I was a cock. You wouldn't leave feedback and you even accused me of putting a jacket that was never in the car in the trash.

To say I was taken aback is an understatement. We both came out of the deal well. I adjusted my feedback because there was no way in hell I was leaving good feedback for you after the lies you'd told me if you weren't goong to do the same for me.

So in the meantime I was wondering and wondering what could have changed. Then this whole drama played out on the thread last night till you finally admitted what was wrong all along and posted a link to my ad. In the process admitting that you were seething at the thought that I might make what seemed to be a huge profit off the car.

Then when I broke down my costs for you there was egg all over your face because you'd forgotten about the Vehicle Registration Tax.

What's turned all of this sour is your bitterness and the fact that you begrudge me a profit on the car.

I admit I was very critical of your car on the night and with good reason. But seeing as I'm such a nice guy I text you afterwards and apologised for it. To which you replied saying that you'd done well out of the deal. On the other hand you refuse to admit that you tried to make the car out to be much better than it was.

When I say you've exposed yourself I mean that the real reason behind all of this has come out twice on two seperate threads. When confronted by this you then back pedalled and said it wasn't about money... even though the first post you've made on the second thread you started about me relates to exactly this.

That's what all of this is about. If you had just done like you said you would and left good feedback none of this would have happened.

Instead you found out that I was selling the car for what you thought was a big profit and you threw the toys out of the pram. You bitter little sod.

And yeah you're right. We do now both have the feedback we deserve.

This thread clearly tells what's happened. Athough unfairly it's not even close to being as accurate as the one from last night.

Sorry mate, I was mid way through typing my reply when you posted that, so I didn't see it till now.

I'll wind my neck in. I agree it's getting VERY tedious now.

Cheers,

The advert was brought to my attention last night, I posted it so the lies you posted on my feedback were clear for everyone to see.

Since I did this, you've not let it go in fact your lies and claims are gradually getting far worse each post

....so if you are to make a profit on the car, then why did you leave such abusive feedback from the outset??

Surely that's a bit of a cunf's trick??

Answer that
