Do you have the part number of the said part that will fit an E30 325i? This is the worse aspect of my RHD car IMO....the brake feel.

I've had a couple of LHD regular E30's (the last being a 320i) and it didn't go any better than a RHD car and I don't recall the brakes being better in a 'Wow! These brakes are so much better!" kind of way. The rack to use is the Z3 unit which is better even than the E36 rack.
To improve the brake feel of a RHD E30, I just wind the cross bar out a few turns to raise the brake pedal 30mm. Job done. I think the E34 rod is thicker?

I would still prefer an original LHD M3 over a RHD car for three reasons. 1.) Resale value 2.) I find the dogleg box much easier to use 3.) It's part of the specialness of an M3.

I have seen an M3 in the US where some enterprising soul put the internals from a dogleg M3 gearbox into a standard H pattern 265 casing (early 528i, 635CSi and the US M3) to have a conventional H pattern gearchange and the closer ratios.

The rod is basically thicker than the e30 one and as a result doesn’t deflect no where near as much.

Thanks

then what? All moving parts will wear out over time, having the MC on the otehr side means more moving parts.

The E36 upwards had the MC/Servo on the same side as the driver to eliminate this. (They were also designed as handed cars, not predominatley LHD, then RHD as an after thought.

Just hope that it's not an AC car! I had to drop the pedal box slightly, undo the pins/clevis' and through bolt on the drivers side, then the same on the passenger side. Once that's done, you can kinda pull the rod from right to left, but you'll bend to bend it abit (I had to -AC car) and it will come out the passenger door. Bit fiddly, but doable. Reversing it is harder as the e34 rod is less bendy!
