my father owned/started LJK from the mid 1970,s through to 1995 ,we was based at collier row and moved to Fairlop waters roughly 1984 after we bought the old Renault site bronhills ,and gave the building a major overhaulpony wrote:How long did LJK own the BMW Dealer for from which years to which years ?
What were the names of all the subsequent Dealers ?
Loved that BMW LJK
Right by Fairlop Waters Al Adventure House loved that too
The dealer then went to neep of east London, then about a year later I think it may have even gone bates for a while ,then sytner what it is today ,not at the Fairlop site, they are over at Debden

In 1999/2000 was called Neep of East London
Hainaut Road
Ilford
Essex ....
I think 2006 was called Synter Chigwell I remember going in there
Then they moved later around that time 2006/2007 to Synter Chigwell in Present location

I have a genuine Neep of East London rear screen sticker on one of my patio doors.
That's great stuff you've posted, twins. Proper memorabilia.
Sytner closest to the locations you're talking about is surely the one at Gallows Corner?

I've never had any Hexagon stuff other than what's on my M3 and thats current stuff.
Those older Hexagon ones were on an E30 318i that came in. Pukar can help you out.

Those Hexagon of Highgate stickers, tax disc holders .... Just WOW.
Pukar's retro BMW Cooper Park Lane .... Just WOW look great
TPS is yours a real Park Lane BMW
?
I got some New Genuine BMW Park Lane tax disc holders and key fobs the other day which look superb. I am not sure what to do with them just yet. I could keep them for the CS, which is Park Lane. I suppose I could use them on my E30 but that is L&C Tunbridge Wells supplied by them. I might get them made up by Pukar or just get modern Park Lane or Berry Chiswick ones fitted or get retro LJK ones made up as that used to be my local BMW Dealer.
Was also thinking of throwing them in this 316i SE Compact I am selling so at least looks a little nicer and less tatty.

Looking for anything Eric G. Hunt folks, they were a BMW (and Bitter) dealer in the Leeds area up until '88 think. I've heard rumours of "Follow the Hunt" stickers

So who did the PDI on yours ?
BMW GB or BMW MLG ?
What about RI Service ?
And Oil Service ?
Did MLG sell yours later as BMW Approved Used Car ?
I remember MLG.
They sold the premises and is now taken over by "Wickes".
They were at that showroom site till 2006.
MLG existed till 1999
Then renamed
Park West
Then Chiswick
Then HR Owen Chiswick
Then Berry Chiswick from 2008 onwards
After 2006 they moved to their current showroom occupied by Berry Chiswick

Prophets of Gerrards Cross (no longer operating ... they eventually became part of Sytner and moved to High Wycombe). Their old showroom is now an M&S Food!

As I have a convertible I don't have a rear window sticker, and sadly I don't have the original tax disc holder.
Sorry I can't get the photos to embed properly in this post, just shows URLs?

It must have been absolutely awesome your Dad owning the dealership right when BMW were at (for me anyway) the peak of their design with the E30 / E28 / E32 / E34 etc etc, must have been a fabulous time and you must have some great memories attached to it alltwins wrote:my father owned/started LJK from the mid 1970,s through to 1995 ,we was based at collier row and moved to Fairlop waters roughly 1984 after we bought the old Renault site bronhills ,and gave the building a major overhaulpony wrote:How long did LJK own the BMW Dealer for from which years to which years ?
