Looking V good Trev, will be great to see and hear it in the car. drove past yours on the way home from work - the 530 looks pretty sweet as well.
Thanks for that. Where are you based then? Local to me? Well pleased with that 530 I must say.

thanks for all the comments guys. It's now sitting alongside the engine bay where it will reside. Got there unscathed as well. The all Zafira didn't even break a sweat.

Si, Gloves will be required but will not be to keep your hands clean winkeye

If it leaks oil I'll be gutted!

Have to say thanks to Barry for the loan of the stand. You will have it back sunday my friend. Cheers mate.

Heres a couple more shots before we loaded it up. Looks better in daylight.

Well it's in the engine bay. As stated, Simon came over and just before he arrived, Barry rang. "can I pop over, at a bit of a loose end?". Does a bear sh1t in the woods barry? With an auto box bolted up and most of the ancillaries on it all adds up to one big fat f*cker. That Simon has put 2 of these in on his own in the past month proves he is stupid!

Must say here, a HUGE thanks to the 2 guys. With three of us on it, it made for a much easier job (and Barry didn't even get his designer shirt dirty winkeye )

We also all learned something yesterday. If you take a manual engine and try to bolt an auto box to it, it's best to take the spigot bearing out :x :x :x :x . My bad on this, I should have checked and we wasted a long time sorting it. Quite enginuitive how we got the final outer race out.

In anycase we wouldn't have got her started as I'd forgotten to bring the injector loom and the Alpina ECU :o: :o: :o: :o:

Another thing learnt with my engine change is don't refit a 525 gearbox to an M20,whilst it fits and the gear linkage changed it drops in lovely, however the 5 box doesn't quite match up to an E30 prop :x ..........out it all comes again.............

Sounds like you had a good day then Trev, bet you can't wait for that first turn of the key eh?
