My study where i sit now. It was a bit full before with the black trim but now we are brimming!
Nice to have the choice, but Red is the gut feeling. Needs some work but a good clean will be the biggest improvement! You can really see the dirt like on grey/cream or white leather
It looks nothing like pink either.
YES!
Respect. ALL about the crimson!

too long, need the red car gone to kick start engine rebuild! Crank is at the machine shop now for a regrind and shells. i'm skint now so i'll have to workout how to pay for that asap! might have a private job coming in i need to look at price to ease the pain.
really though getting the auto SE MOT'd and up forsale is the biggie i hope.
Might roll here out 2moro and have a play with seats
haven't been this excited for some time! ha ha

i had to shower and then have my beef and sausage pie the wife made to maintain my athlete stature. Plus photo bucket takes time bruv for this upload

Started the morning with a clean, these f**king things look a different colour in every photo. And tbh nothing like they do in the flesh! But we'll crack on

Drivers side cleaned on left

Then again outside, see what i mean?!

Cleaned the drivers door card up and grab handle. Now i'll be honest i was thinking by the afternoon whether i'd made a mistake and that they don't look red enough. This interior is almost more a calypso colour in the flesh. anyhow
I had to then finish cutting out rust on the auto SE so i could move it out the way and get her out the garage, must be first time this year? i'm not sure, its been some time

Dash and 3 spoker on to get the "feel" for it all

Its pretty smooth with the all black approach, but the finale nears!

door cards ohhhhhhh.
Lets have it both barrels, i'll let the snaps do the talking.

How F**king cool does that look. Black carpet FTW. Its EPIC and houston we have a winner!!!
THE END.

I honestly did reserve judgement on this but I'm sorry. It's not working for me Si. Really sorry
To me the contrast is just toooooo great.
Dare I say it maybe theres too much black and it needs MORE red. never thought I'd say that!
But never a truer word spoken than "it's your shout as it's your car." As Dezmond says above, this car is going to be epic either way.
Wheres the 'verts Bert?

I agree with B7.
Cardinal was what I thought you were on about and is much nicer, Crimson is just too much red and just too lary.
You'll all think I'm just being a coont but it's just too much.

maybe i'll paint it white and get some indigo in there! It will look good for the pics when its going round the ring
Just imagine the c**k walking into sytners in 87 saying i want a black Alpina with red leathers and ALL the toys please mate.
The pictures make it look way redder than it actually is.

That looks sick bruv. I do reckon it needs a bit of work though, maybe just re colonising, they look a little tired and with the standard of the rest of the car you don't want the interior to let it down.
I know a good trimmer!!!!

This car needs Cardinal.
Refer to the two black Cabrios on here that had Cardinal in them - the difference in shade and awesomeness is large.
It looks great now, better than most out there but it's not the BEST it could be.
Cardinal FTW - it's darker, less gharish, more period and just cooler-er.

I like it, only a black car can pull off a red interior and yours does it in style.
There are enough boring interiors on here, time for a change. Besides its not like its welded in is it.

No longer self employed but still available for welding duties.

If I had been the c*ck walking into Quadrofoglio's in '89 I wouldn't have ticked the indigo box Si. I'd have ticked black but as the car has blue I'd never change it. I struggle with blue interiors as well
You shouldn't take these things too personally Si. It's your car, your choice.
Just an opinion mate thats all. Reckon it needs to be seen in the flesh as well. Colours look all over the place dependant on angles and light.

One of them had crimson, the Alpina C2 2.5.Royalratch wrote:Refer to the two black Cabrios on here that had Cardinal in them - the difference in shade and awesomeness is large.
Simon, that rocks like i said it would. Glad i convinced you?
As Steve has said, needs a little attention to bring it up to scratch but its a very good base to start with.
