140mph in my old e34 535i. Was still pulling too, but a car pulled out in front of me, so I had to brake... Which was "interesting" - ended up crossing all three lanes trying to wrestle the car from pulling me into the verge! 8O

Needless to say I never attempted that again!

Oh it was. Very little titties at that. Maybe a double A cup at best. Apparently that 112 was 93mph. According to Aprilia. I was once doing my indicated 112mph and saw flashing headlights in my mirror. Moved over to let the 'Scooby' or 'Porsche through, and realised it was a Mercedes Sprinter which then absolutely took off. So while i had 'Racing' written down the side of my bike, i was passed by a van with 'Plumber' written down the side of it. Needless to say, i felt a bit of a w4nker...

I've done 135 in my 320 down the local duel carraige way. My mate did 160 down the same straight in his Supra, with me in it, in the wet. Never again!

The fastest I've ever been is 600mph, but that was cruising at 49000 feet on the way to america in a 747 winkeye

Seriously though one of the best driving experiences I had was 7 laps around croft in a Ferrari 550 maranello.
I didn't pay too much attention at the speedo as I was concentrating on the fast approaching bends. Truly amazing.

The second best experience was in a Porsche 911 GT2. Absolutely mind blowing. The car was tuned to hit 210mph and 60 below 4 seconds. I'll never forget getting out of it. Hands and knees shaking. :D

175 in my dads turbosystems 420 bhp cozzy sapphire when i was about 10! recently got 140 out of my standard 318is down the A38 into brum, slight downhill, cold twilight air, it was still revving! cant wait to get the exhaust, BBTB, remap done! gonna need a higher diff though, or might keep it low and enjoy the launch!

Bazza - The tailpipes are sexy, but you should have heard the noise coming out of them. Enough to start a small earthquake!!

Those tail pipes are just 2 individual pipes with half of another pipe welded on the side.

I've had an indicated 150mph out of my Dad's old '97 Bentley Turbo R on the 'bhan. Aerodynamics probably wouldn't allow it to go any faster anyway!

It truly was an amazing car.

jeez.....talk about bringing an old thread back to life!

seeing this old thread made me think about when i was doing 186 mph on my gsxr1000, absolutly pinned to the tank, just the slightest movement of my eyes/head to check if there were any flashing blue lights in the distance was enough to pull the bike from one lane to another :clin: :clin:

the fasted i've been wad about 160 in the m3 with the m30 turbo set up. clock was a but messed up in that car, but was showing well off the clock, a mate in his de restriced and re mapped 535d was going some up th M1 to donny with me on this particular day, his the last time he looked at his GPS it was showing was 160mph. we carried on pushing for an other 30 seconds then backed off :D

i'd like to get an e30 to over 160 and properly clocked at the speed, just for braging rights. i recon with the right gearing and power 175 mph is the aerodynamic limit of these bricks which we all love.
