Top end it's closer cos you have more torque.
Sal, check these times out, still think a 325 can keep up these 'Honda jobbies' no problem?!

My MK2 Honda CRX (non vtec only 130hp) would just about beat my 325i side by side on acceleration, the 325i certainly felt like it pulled better up hills though, and probably topped out about 7or8 mph morethan the CRX.
I managed quicker laptimes round the ring in the 325i but it had r-tyres on as opposed to cheap road tyres on the CRX so you cant really compare.
> 7.02 (uphill a bit!)
Dave if it was up hill you'll get a quicker reading than it really is. The angle of the hill tilts the g-tech making it read more G's than it's actually subjected to. This is why you need to do the runs on a flat bit of road.

must say though it's soooo fun in the wet with those tyres at the moment, you can drift for ever on hardly any throttle

Yeah, I gotta get a drift sig for sure!
Robin....
You say when you go uphill, it makes the G-Tech think it's quicker, but by setting it on the hill to 0.0 isn't that cancelling the gradient out?

My little baby Civic. I fixed the cigarette lighter and....
Did a couple of 0-60 runs...
1) 6.76 (slightly stonely lay-by start)
2) 6.83 (patchily damp start)
3) 7.02 (uphill a bit!)
and the best of all
4) 6.57 (good start - not 100% - on good surface completely flat)

It's a 1991 Civic 1.6i 16v VT (vtec). EE model code.

It's only group 12 as well so should be similar insurance to what you're paying now if you find one

As Zayyan says, they are quick and reasonably cheap, if you can find one. the noise is like nothing else on the road.
To be honest, I don't believe it really did a 6.57. It cannot be true!
Did anyone see this months Performance BMW, in the 0.60 tests, none of the cars were beating what they are supposed to do standard....
Mine has an air filter, and 140k. Is it really gonna be >0.7 of a second quicker than the factory testers? I doubt it.
Mr Cynical today.

Adam,
Yeah it's that shape exactly.
That's the 1.6 16v NON-VTEC though, which is almost as quick, but it's gotta be a VT (vtec) for the noise. It has 130bhp, and a VT has 150bhp.

150 bhp from a 1.6!!!
And i guess with a nice HKS induction kit, free flow exsuast, decent spark plugs could be looking at a bit more.
Hmmm, tempting

That's another one less for me to find! Definately planning on getting one for a daily driver though
Ah well, it's not like I'd want it 'til after the summer anyway ;) I actually got a bit of sunburn from driving at the weekend!
E30 in need of wiring loom smoke since April '11...
