Do I need your consent to run a particular brand of oil in my property?pony wrote:That's not the same spec as 10W-40
Looks to be 15W-40 ?
And who would you rather trust Castrol or a brand I have never heard of ?

Indeed I might go for the Mobil 10W-40 which is semi-synthetic or Mobil 1 Fully Synthetic 0W-40 New Life or Castrol Edge Full Synthetic 0W-40 or just stick with Castrol Magnatec 10W-40 for the next BMW Service

Dear oh dear, what a gay thread
Out of interest, does anyone actually have a f ucked engine purely down to the oil they've used? I suspect the answer is no, so really, as has been said a million times, the M20 couldn't careless which oil it drinks.
I'm in the Comma gang, if it costs less than £20 for 5L, that'll do just fine. Having ran an M20 for 100,000 miles on the "cheap" stuff with no ill effects i'll continue using it.

X5 V8 for thrills, CRV for chills, Range Rover P38 V8 for sooooo much aggravation...
