HID FITTED! now PICS and Guide
Moderator: martauto
The grey plug in the pic plugs into the ballast unit (the silver box with the HID kit) and the 2 spade connectors you can see in the first pic near the rubber gromet connect to the wires inside the cap behind the dip beam bulb.

Good man
I thought i would share a little discovery i made while fiddling with the headlamp aim tonight, i had to disconnect 1 to see the light cast from the other (cloudy reflector perhaps, thats another thing on the dreaded to-do list) Anyway.... the check light came on indicating a dip beam failure, so it appears that that handy function still works with HID's

Great guide guys, some really useful tips. I'll definitly be fitting these to my E30 & E36. Quick question though, what does the 4300k, 6000k, 9000k all that business refer to? And does it make a difference if I go for H1 or H7 bulbs, I assume I want H1?
Thanks
Thanks
This guy on ebay is selling them for £40 all in from Hong Kong so though I'd post it up as he seems to be the cheapest.

Chisel, 4300 is the brightest and whitest, 9000k is the bluest.
Personally I'm a fan of 4300k.
I'm guessing this has been un-stickied because the info is now in the zone wiki

although you can't really chat about stuff on the wiki

$50 delivered has got to be a bargain even with the exchange rate being such a spoilsport.
