No legal action was necessary I'm pleased to report, as I have been paid back most of the money owed.

I'm due a final payment of £100 and then the whole sorry saga can get a very firm line drawn under it.

How goes it with the OP & everyone else?

So the REAL answer then Tris is NO! You have not recieved ALL your money back yet.

To make people wait for a refund then drip feed them it back is insulting to peoples intelligence as far as I'm concerned.

Looks like I got off lightly. I ordered some suspension parts from Boyd, paid immediately by bank transfer and actually received the parts in a few days!

For the record, he dicked me around for most of a year over a much smaller amount of cash. Never got the parts I ordered either, but did eventually get some kind of resolution.

Useless c*** either way.

Yup. You're 100% correct!

However, being drip-fed funds from Boyd's son is better than taking it all to court, with the added hassles, cost & (probably?) an order from a Judge to repay at £20 a month.....

I'm still owed the final £100.00 though. :(

I think these lads have every right to voice their opinon, in the same way you are, sticking up for what I think is a total scumbag.

Just because he wouldn't come up me in the street and mug me doesnt make him any better, maybe even worse as he's a coward. imo obviously, every can make up their own mind on him.

Look at his posts, he wanted an exhaust, he got one (from Boyd obviously), a happy ending. Why the obsession with contributing to this thread? The link you posted above is 2 years old.

Who cares how old it was a leopard never changed his spots and although I personally have never been done over by this guy, when it comes down to it he's a thief and I hate theives.

A quick google search reveals how many people this guy has done over and I don't care how unorganised someone is you don't make that many mistakes this guy fully intended to rip people off end of

Do I have a believable enough post count ? Boyd has helped me out a few times in the past, including supplying an engine to me and also transporting the car from Dunfermline to Falkirk for the engine swap. He even fitted a timing belt and water pump to the engine for free.
I've always found him very knowledgeable and helpful whenever I've dealt with him, If you only have an opinion of a guy you've never met or dealt with then I suggest you shut the fcuk up ?

So all the noise on the interwebs is bullshit then is it? I have a right to an opinion so I suggest you shut the fuck up you bell end make your point for sure ut don't tell others they can't make there's

If I can hear a valid reason behind why he has fucked up so many people's orders kept so many people's money and been very hesitant to give it back then I shall retract my statement until then your view is invalid

He has ripped people on here and many other bmw sites and has stung quite a few from abroad
This is a long ongoing thing
If he owed me a large ammont of moneyfor parts i had bought i wouldnt be posting anything on here
Id be popping on a plane of train and getting what was owed to me and more
THEN posting the pictures afterwards !

Pac 1982, this is a feedback thread is it not ? You've never dealt with the guy so why are you spamming the thread with your opinions?
I was just giving my feedback on the service I received from Boyd.

Tell that to the other people on here making comments who have not dealt with him.

I think you'll find if you want to leave him good feed back your better off making your own thread not posting in this one you tart

I got interested in this thread when I put his user name and real name in to google the evidence is quite clear cut so why you feel the need to stick up for someone that may have given you a good service but has ripped off many many others is beyond me.

Now please go away, prehaps you could go and find some other scum bag to vouch for

More good service recieved today from Boyd.

I recognise none of the negative feedback in this thread he has bent over backwards to help me with my car. Wealth of knowledge and seems like a real good guy.

Its not as easy as that unfortunately! I have had no dealing with Boyd so I cant comment on his service.

But if the zone banned these traders for poor performance, the person who currently is owed money will loose his point of contact. Although, personally, I'll only send money to as a payment so that its covered if issues do arise, unless you can trust the person your buying from. But usually its worth paying the few quid extra in fees so they get the amount they want.
