I have not seen a beige leather in that condition or for sale even in a long time. Its much better then grey or black leather.capri_rob wrote:Are you sure Ollie ? The main thing I keep thinking is, you could never spec leather and sports seats in my car when it was new, that said you couldn't spec beige country cloth could you.![]()
So whilst its unlikely whoever bought your 316 new would have specified Leather/Sports seats they probably could have done if they wanted to.
I like your leather trim - you will probably struggle to find another beige sports trim thats undamaged - I haven't seen another for sale since I bought mine nearly 2 Years ago
Lucky I saved the interior from the scrappy.

I think I got a bit of a bargain as well, if I may say so. You should have seen some of the interiors I got offered when I was looking, £300+ for worn out interiors, with worn bolsters, knackered back panels etc...

Some people want far too much for interiors imo, some people pay it though, A few month ago two front cabby seats sold for £450 they were pretty mint but £450

i was wondering do you know of any decent places, im after a front drivers seat in blue and white hounds tooth, been looking for ages, it has to be in blue as my carpets and door trim is also in blue so any other colour wouldnt really work, my interior would be complete with just this front seat, although i do have a small crack in my dash otherwise its perfect inside

Ollie..if you ever decide to part with your full leather set, please do give us a shout!
Think it looks stunning with the diamond black! I've given up on finding a tan set, would say this is the next best thing

Well after I did all that with the boot, I think either adjusting the aerial or boot lid has sorted it.
On to the next job, putting in a temporary cr4p looking headunit, complete wrong colour illumination, but hey atleast it works.

Rob, hope you don't mind me using your pic?

Well I think the leather is staying, one of my mates spilt a McDonalds coffee on it today, and it just wiped off with a few napkins. Practicality has proven its use.
And Jim320i has sorted me with a Blaupunkt headunit that was in the boot of his car when he brought it, I will try that but if it doesn't work, Rob i'll call on you.......

Ollie whats going on with the tesco bags in these pics ???Ollie_bwoii wrote:Right been busy stripping out the boot to try and find the cause to the lake in my boot wells.
Covered up the bumper mounts, and put talc n powder down to try and find where the water is coming from.
Will see how it goes tonight if it rains, or I will chuck a bucket of water of it.

It was to work out if the water was coming through the bumper mounts. Only a temporary measure, don't worry.

Ollie My car had water comming in from the boot lid seal, tail light seals, the 10mm bolts that go through your quarter into the side of your chrome bar and lastly from the vent itself in the quarter....
I changed the bootlid seal then the tail light seals and to fix the 10mm bolt I ran some uerthane (spelling) under the bolts and I did the same with the vents.
Try all this but you really do need to get into the boot with someone hosing it... Its also best to do it with the car on different angles..

Funnily enough Alex, PAS was one of the mods I was talking about today, but hey lowering is getting desperately obvious now.
