Hi, I’ve recently swapped the LCD on my OBC and am getting characters which are unreadable, (see attached pic.).
Does anyone know what might cause this?

First of all what was it like before? was it displaying some correct digits just with the usual partly blown LCD? What did you replace it with? Was it one of the repair kits available?
If it displayed some correct characters before did you get the conductive rubbers in correctly? That could give you this sort of problem.
If you have checked the installation then it maybe a duff unit with an issue deeper down

The initial LCD was blown so I replaced it with a repair kit. I swapped the LCD and got this issue.I suspect it might be the conductive rubber. I’ll give the contacts a clean and see what happens.
