The centre will fit most manifolds and is a direct fit to some Alpina, Automac and Magnex manifolds and others

The back box fits directly onto all S14 M3 systems no modification at all

Dont know the Hot Tuning manifold fitting but if it fits a standard pipe then will work

This middle pipe now has been modified to have built in hooks like the Alpina system and mounts to bracket at gearbox at front and rear box is at the rear also

No problem...if this wont work for you, but thanks for the interest

That centre box doesn't look like it will fit anything. Certainly nothing standard or BTB. Wheres the bracket which hooks up to the rear axle infront of the back box straps!

Thats funny Simon as it should be exactly the same design as your Alpina centre box...but true they did do different systems...and I have fitted it to a 1990 Motorsport cab....that rear bar is as per Alpina...so guess you dont know everything Alpina

The pictured exhaust would never fit a genuine Alpina exhaust manifold. Infact, I don't quite know what it would fit to be honest!

The frontal section of an Alpina centre section looks nothing like that.

It certainly wouldn't fit the BTB or the BTB copy.

However, the exhaust does look nice and shiny. Wether it lasts internally or not is a totally different story and that's the most important bit!

Alot of people still lack the basic understanding that it is the internals of an exhaust which should not give up the ghost. The external shell may last for ever but once the internals go it's nothing more than scrap metal.

Have any durabiity tests been carried out on this exhaust before it goes on sale from Automac aka cabrio? If so, for how long and under what conditions?

Any pictures of the system on a car?

Any Sound clips?

The price tag is quite a serious one hence the questions.

For that much money a Larini System can be bought which is very very good or you could go to Fritz Bitz who have a very nice system too (which is rumoured to be a Larini). These are known quantities in this this price region and they looks and sound excellent.

Below this price region the Scorpions are pretty much untouchable.

Just another point - according to a few BMW main dealers there has been a sharp rise in OE exhausts being sold.......I totally understand why.

Even though My Larini system hasnt done many miles, I am still chuffed to bits with it! Ive had it almost 2 years and it still looks as good as the day I fitted it! No discolouration to themetal, welds are still perfectly finished, no oxidising or surface rust as you can often get.
The system is BLOODY HEAVY though but the guage of metal is unquestionably serious! Theres a lot of material for the money and its well worth the 28day lead time you have to wait for it! Sound on my standard Larini (sports system also available) is perfect for my intended application as a daily car.
Next to this, only the OE Exhaust would go on my sport, as they are the only 2 systems Ive come across that keep the sound level to how Munich intended.

Given the number of paperweight value exhausts on the market, I fully agree with the OE rise comment Sal.

Just for information - the centre box that was removed from a C2 2.7 with Alpina stamped on it was used as the guide for fit and shape...it fits the Alpina manifolds that were fitted to C2.5, some C2 2.5 and C2 2.7s...internals have been done properly and I will happily bring a car to a meet when its painted and even allow you to rolling road it.

If dont agree you can speak to the E30Centre who are E30 specialists and have sold many and still own several Alpina E30s...as you doubt what I am saying....

Dont wish to get into a long discussion as not really that Bovvered what Sal thinks as he did ask Automac if he could sell their exhausts as a cheaper version to the BTB...and develop some others...he must have forgotton that

As to the M3 back box that has been tested fully and the original used a a guide for fitment etc...the Evo2 style centre is being developed with a removable box for racing...but for trackdays have to keep below 100db

If its too expensive you dont have to buy it...there are discounts for BMW carclub members and competitors in the Kuhmo, RWD challenge and PBMW currently offered...

Kos had discussed discount for E30Zone but he is no longer on the zone :!:

Everyone is welcome to there opinion but it seems that the zone is always looking to knock things without looking at it properly so must the wrong place to offer any new items....so I wish anyone wanting to help members luck

Cheers :D

But your offering these exhausts with hardly any info other than a shiney picture.

If you want zoners to look at this properly then give them something to look at!
If you want some customers then why havnt you posted up pictures of a car with these systems fitted? Sound clips etc?
You cant expect people to buy blind. If I was looking to buy an exhaust, I would never give these a thought based on the content of this thread.
You have gone about this in the wrong way entirely...

I have a question
are you selling these exhausts or are you arranging the group buy with an outside company?

Notice that my post is not negative in anyway. I am asking some very valid questions. I have not given an opinion on the system you make as I have never tested or seen it in the flesh.

For all I know your exhaust may be brilliant (I hope they are).

You've obviously got hot under the collar for no apparant reason.

When a new product is launched questions will be asked and while I agree that the zone can be quite negative, sometimes there are those who ask the right questions.

If your exhaust sound good, fits well and lasts then it's something alot of people will take seriously and your likely to have a very successful line.
