Hello all,
I have spent a good while searching for a decent full stainless steel exhaust from my E30 M42 318iS, although I really haven’t had much luck. None of the systems I found offered a direct bolt-on solution; they were all for the 6cyl E30s and needed modification to fit up to my M42’s manifold, etc. After leaving the issue alone for a bit I found a solution. I asked my father, Nigel at Bexley Motor Works (BMSport), if his specialist could fabricate me a custom system.
BMSport is well regarded for producing some of, if not the most powerful street and race engines available in the UK for a variety of BMWs. For example, our two Kumho Tyres Championship ”˜Class A’ M3s put down a potential of 25bhp more than the rest of the field; even competing with some well established ”˜tuners’. These systems are being used on out E30, E36, E46 and now E92 M3 race cars.
Such expensive, high performance machinery requires excellent quality parts; and the exhaust systems on these vehicles are no exception. All the pipe work is 304Grade Stainless Steel, TiG welded and warranted for 25 years.

So here’s the deal:
I’ll be booking my car in for a new exhaust at the fabricators rather soon. While I’m there I can have a jig made so we can offer the exhaust to others, but only if there’s enough interest on here. The exhaust will be fully Stainless, single pipe (with free-flowing silencers where needed), and from the bottom of the manifold to the tip.
I have a Tech-2 rear bumper fitted, so I’ll be opting for a Scorpion twin-exit look-alike to fill up the gap in the bumper (I’ll need to cut my rear valance), although tail-pipe choice is up to you really; single or twin!
I’ll be leaving the general pipe diameter up to the fabricator, i.e. what he thinks is best. This I think is not negotiable once it’s completed.

The price for a full system is £500+VAT, and all finances will be arranged through Bexley Motor Works (BMSport). Once I have the Jig made then we can start producing them.
If you’re interested, please email me.
Many thanks everyone,
Scott.
