OK,ten of us on the list, two 'if the price is...'smith4130 wrote:....X2Nay wrote:Interested, but still waiting on a price. £50ish quid and I should be in!
This sort of work costs a set amount to make the tooling, the further this is spread, the lower the cost to us all,so please commit to buy and help lower the price to us all.

Will there be anything, reinforcement wise, for the bolt in to the boot like a wee plate or should I just use a couple of large m8 washers?

3mm plate will be fine; the reason i decided not to provide it with the kit is that fitting would be quite hard; originally the top of the mount was going to have two holes and a reinforcement plate but the back hole would then have to be drilled blind, and you can bet your bottom dollar somebody will drill the hole wrong and create some aggro etc. The one fitted to the prototypemeister (as pictured) has been on the car for a while now with one bolt from above and one in the original hole and is absolutely fine.
If you with to reinforce your rear boot pan it is not going to do any harm.
As said from kedge i am waiting for some quotes but regardless of what happens there i am looking to start taking payements late next week.
Sorry for the delay guys.

The quotes i have got for the above design have turned out to be quite expensive; mainly due to manufacturing costs as its quite a hefty part and alse the right angle is allegedly giving a few people headaches.
I can get them made as they are but the price is going to be around about £80 which is higher than i wanted.
I am looking into two options; changing the design so that it is simpler to machine, or making the current part out of steel as opposed to alloy and getting them powder coated (which then also gives me the chance to offer you guys some different colours as a small bonus).
I know its been long, i havent forgotten about them it is just a lot harder to get these manufactured at a viable price than i first predicted. Hopefully will update sometime next week!

thats a shame. TBH £80 isnt outrageous, im in no hurry to get them but would still have them in powdercoated steel if the price was closer to the original £50-60.

The powder coater near me will do most colours but obviously the more of one colour we have the cheaper.
Good that you are ok on the steel option, i will proceed forward with some more quotes this week.

I would take mine uncoated if it'll cut costs/hassle?
