all the sets are taken/paid for now, but i'll update this thread with info and when i order another load.
all monies received thanks. injectors will be sent out tomorrow or wednesday depending on if i can source suitable packaging. you should have them for the weekend.
Nice one.
If someone can do a right up with pics when there doing theres it would be very helpful.
Would also like to hear of any improvements big or small as it will be awhile before i get mines fitted.
cool. did they arrive in ok condition? i mean, as i will be ordering more in due course, is the packaging suitable? can someone start a thread in the feedback section for me? if thats not being too cheeky!
they arrived ok. my constructive criticism would be not to use paper. but individually wrap them in cling film or a sealable bag as the whole point is to have them performing as new. and with paper being able to tear etc, it can go in to the feed hole and cause issues (yes it is an extreme circumstance but...) and then with a bit of foam protection stuck in a box and sent out. but as an item, no issues. and well done. my two pence worth...
i've just fitted them, and i have some serious issues now. it wont rev underload after 5k. it idles too low now, has damaged the baffles in the centre silencer and basically runs shit.
anyone want to buy 19lb injectors???
can everyone avoid fitting these injectors for the time being. just spoke to no2lurch, between the two of us, we'll run tests. and then get back to everyone as to whats going on. they may be incompatible so before they're fouled or peoples cars damaged, just hold your horses..
I have contacted my supplier and am awaiting a response. i have also contacted some of his previous customers and the reply i have had back so far is that they were 100% happy with the injectors and worked the way they expected. i will be putting a set in mine on saturday morning.
I'm doing my best to get thoughts from other people that have bought the exact same injectors off the exact same seller.
another reply that i just got through is...
"I intalled them in my 89 325i and they worked perfectly. They came cleaned with new o-rings and caps. They where originally used in Ford Mustangs but work perfectly in the BMW. They have four holes instead of one hole used in the BMW. My engine now idles better and feels stronger. I would buy from this seller if you need a set for your BMW. Cheers, Robert"
i then asked him if his car had any modifications engine wise and got this reply...
"No, totally stock. That is the beauty of these injectors...plug and play. The stock injectors for the 87 to 91 325i where 17lb while these are 19lb. BTW, my mpg went up 5%! Cheers, Robert."
so... i'm gonna fit a fresh set into my 325 and see what happens.
well, i got up early today to put a fresh set of injectors on my m20b25. i left the battery dissconnected over night and i took fuse 11 out before turning the engine off to depressurise the fuel system.
i fitted the new injectors in a fraction over 1 hour after reding up on changing them and speaking to people in the know over the last few days.
i connected everything back up and started the car. it strated after the engine had turned over a few times as the fuel system needed to repressurise. it seemed real lumpy but i took it out for a drive.
the lumpyness reduced as i drove and smoothed out real well. i drove it at different revs and at different loads and i must say it pulls very well. it pulls and pulls right up to 6k rpm which i where i usually rev it to when driving hard. i pulled up back at home and the idle is still very lumpy. it hunts between 500-1000rpm which i a not sure about. i'll look into this more on the forum though. i fluished out the idle valve and i disconnected the battery to rest the ecu as i dont think i let it idle for long enough.
i expereience none of the problems that badassyas has, and i am not making this up to please the people that bought injectors form me.
i will update here again once i have reconnected the ecu later this afternoon.
