Feeler for interest in BTB exhaust/manifold Group Buy
Moderator: martauto
In what way do they sound different? Has anyone ever run one with a standard exhaust?
That's my plan as I tried two custom exhausts, one was noisey and horribly boomy, the 2nd (alledgeably quieter version) set off car alarms...oh and was still boomy.
Hence a nice genuine back box is now fitted.

All,
I got an email from Joe this morning, and now that Danny has confirmed that the same manifold works with both racks, BTB are ready and waiting.
Price is plus VAT, but still 36% off normal retail.
Best bet is to call Joe direct, and simply mention this is the e30zone group buy. He will need 5 confirmed deposits to get the manufacture started.
Oh, and as Danny says, their quality of workmanship is magnificent. I paid a still-smarting-slightly £2,100 for Joe to make and fit my full stainless M30B35 system a few weeks back, but it all makes sense when you see the craftmanship and quality.
Martin.

Just spoke to Joe @ BTB, ordered one and deposit paid.
Joe needs another 4 to start the ball rolling
Thanks guys whoever got the ball rolling and followed on with it.
The deposit is 20% which works out at £110, final price is £550 all in.

And for those that were wondering about power gains, the dyno plot below shows an 18bhp gain from a full system. Joe has no test results from just a manifold, but his feeling is that the manifold alone is worth at least 12 of that 18 peak HP gain.
Nice torque increase across the midrange and top end too.

Martin.

A few answers to questions.
We don't have to charge VAT to Channel Islands
We can ship to Australia, but need your postcode for an accurate quote.
We can upgrade existing BTB2 stainless manifolds to BTB3 spec for £287.50 as part of this group buy, by supplying new front 3 into 1 manifold with the modified pipes.
Yes this manifold will work well with an LPG conversion. LPG has higher exhaust temp than petrol so a stainless manifold is a good idea, and the extra efficiency helps offset the lower calorific value of LPG.
Keep the deposits coming in.
Thanks.

Top man!
What is the cut off date for these? My bank account is taking a major battering this month. Viscous coupling has gone, offside top mount has gone and filter housing has an oil fountain.
But come the 25th when i get paid I will be in a much better position.
Regards
Eddie

Give him a bell and make a deposit, sooner the better.

How much is the full system as described above?MJJ_ZX6RR wrote:And for those that were wondering about power gains, the dyno plot below shows an 18bhp gain from a full system. There will be a batch of 5 made which will be started, and hopefully finished, this month. The first 5 deposit payers will get these on a first come first served basis. We have received 2 already. Part of the reason for the generous discount is that this part of the year usually coincides with less demand from our racing customers. We may consider another batch of 5 next month, but the delivery on them won't be likely until late November. After that, as well as the possibility of VAT going back up, we review all our prices in December and hopefully get busy with winter racing work, so we probably won't be able to make any more until this time next year, by which time prices will have gone up.

Mines in!
Right lads. Some information for you.
Joe (Good man, spoke to him this afternoon), requires a 20% deposit. This will NOT be taken off your card until he has 5 orders I believe, then he will contact the people involved, take the deposits off and start making them. Deposits are 20%, which is roughly £95. I believe materials etc are being ordered now in preparation for batch #1!
I suggest, as Joe said before, if your wanting one, call him asap. There is a possibility a second batch may go through before the end of the year.

Uni is killing the project.
Did mine yesterday lunchtime, no flies on me
Spoke to Joe earlier, he might be starting a group buy for the full system, Ive already expressed my interest and put my name down for one at the the right price with the group buy
I will let Joe furnish us with more details

Ok, full systems. BTB do a single pipe 63.5mm system for the E30 325i which is designed (with a 2 into 1 downpipe) to go with our manifold. If 5 people decide to order a system with their manifold order the price will be £735 including VAT (but not carriage) for a twin box trackday friendly version, or £660.25 including VAT (but not carriage) for a single box version (for the more extrovert street racers out there who spend their time in 3 gear in tunnels!). The system has twin 76mm tailpipes to suit either MTech or Sport bumper skirts, which you will need to specify at time of order. You will also need to confirm when you order your manifold whether you want the downpipe to suit an OE style twin system or BTB single system so we can supply the correct version. I'll try and get some pictures up to help explain, or you can find them at www.racecar.co.uk/bmwexhausts.

Out of my budget for the time being!
I also had a little chat about them. Sound good, but will probably stick to a scorpion full de-cat system (No MOTs in Jersey... no worries...
), which also means I can buy it next year sometime when the fundings are more adaquate!

Ps) Joe, can these come with a nice lambda sensor boss in a suitable place for the wiring to reach without a headache?? Thanks Alex

With fitment to the exhaust system, Ill be using my scorpion centre and rear box with the system, is there a couple to the 3 piece system or does this need to be fabricated by my local shop or will the system 6 branch connect straight on??
Also does this system have a cross pipe???

Considering Selling the Cabby, looks like its gonna go
