Hi

My name is João I'm from Portugal and this is my E30:

Image

As you can see this is a dedicated track car...

But let's go to the beginning a couple of photos of the building process (not by me):

This is how it was when I got it:

And some work I did...

First a proper set of gauges

A "new" tunnel:

Some door cards:

A console Project :rofl1::

Next the hand brake:

Some new firewall:

The final result (and some race plastics in the side and rear):

And now some of the important stuff:

The car has a M50b25 engine from a E34 with a ebay chip, cold air intake, free flow exhaust, the gearbox is a Getrag 265 - 5 sport (dog leg), the suspension is a E36 M3 Bilstein Group N with 1917 lbs/ft each spring at the rear :eeek: and 1622/ft at the front :loco: and in the rear there is a LSD (viscous :ohsnap:) with 3,91 final drive... some pictures...

Things to do:

1) Replace the steering box with one from a Z3:

Image

2) Replace the Viscous LSD with a normal one (this is the new one with a 4,10 final relation):

Image

Image

3) Put a Sump Guard

Image

And that is all for now... 8O 8O 8O

Not very tall... 1,80m

But you can see that the pedals are extended and the driver seat is touching the roolbar winkeye

I have to move back the passenger seat also...

I didn´t weighted the car but it's clear that all the weight is on the front so I'm trying to put as much in the back as possible....

Stunning race car. I spy an e36 5 stud conversion too? Id be interested to know what control arm bushings you are using and what your front wheel geometry is like?

I would also like to know the same? I'm building a track e30 a cannot seem to get the geometry correct. Its a 5 stud using e36 m3 evo hubs, ive tried e30, e46, and e36m3 and m3 evo control arms. I have also tried using hubcentric poly bushes with no luck.
