Last couple of days I have been trying to remove the sunroof cassette in preparation for the rollcage to be fitted.

Anyway the cage is in!!! Only test fitted but at least it's in :D

Subscribed to this thread! I also need to get rid of my sunroof cassette, and will be seeking advice... http://www.e30zone.net/modules.php?name ... c&t=204866

There's a fair bit of advice around here how to get rid of the system, needing decent tools though. I could remove the motor myself I guess...? Anyway, don't want to hijack your thread so I await with interest!

Door bar looks far too low for comfort there.

I may be more inclined to spend on suspension, tyres and get the car a bit lighter. PBMW times at Snetterton were mid 2.20s, the 320i has 1125 race weight, no LSD, but grippy Toyos and well set up suspension. If your car is developed a bit further it should be pretty easy to get below this weight, and with the extra 325 power and LSD advantage it will be quite a brisk car. Always much more satisfying doing decent lap times on corner speeds rather than fitting a bigger engine to make decent lap times using the straights.

Tyres are next on Purchase list I have a second set of wheels to have them fitted onto.

Weight I think is is below 1125 already!! but still room to shave a bit more off

Car at the moment is very good in the corners but as you say there is a need to improve

Looking to put a 2.8 in the car really as I fancy a bit more speed on the straights but the 525 was too cheap to not buy!!
