Currently building a SC'd M52.
I'm looking for an ECU which has to have at least two separate switchable maps, and retain Vanos control.
I'll be using a wideband o2 and map sensor.
Some input would be great!
Cheers

I just bit the bullet and bought a megasquirt diypnp kit for my e30 m30 cab.
I've fitted a eaton m112 charger on my e30 and wanted full control over the tuning and the MS units for the money seem the way to go
You can buy the ecu pre built but I'm on a budget so bought the build your own kit.
Saved a good few hundred $
You can run different tuning setups on it. Good thing about the MS unit is that it has a auto tune option so once I get mine through a mot just going to drive it around and let it tune itself then do some fine tweaks
This one is $430

The pre built one is $730

Don't get too hopeful about auto tune. It's didn't work to good when I used it and it's slow.
You need to do most of the settings yourself then run auto tune for it to fine tune the map that you've already created. When I used it a few years ago it only tuned fuel, so you'll need to tune spark separate yourself unless things have changed.
The main tuning tool I used was megalog viewer, there must be a newer version of that by now.
