Still no figuers, there will be soon.
Injector size at fuel pressure and how much duty cycle? That will tell us how much power

Updates at last.
Its booked in for a rolling road session in two weeks. So I will let you know.
Also managed to get some rear brakes sorted, E46 discs with some nice porsche 2 pot calipers. Just got the bracket to make.

To squeeze 100bhp per litre from an old boat anchor is pretty miraculous - congratulations!

Cheers guys,
You can see the lambda "dip" just after 5k, This is the fuel pressure reg failing. I have an FSE fpr and I wouldn't recommend them for injection systems. I ordered a turbo smart one as ive heard some good things about there products. With this fitted and maybe a little more boost I think more power is quite easy. Although there's not a lot of grip

New frp fitted, and another day of mapping. The fuel stabilized, but there still is an issue with the fueling that needs to be investigated.
The bhp has gone down to 304bhp, and stays there from 4k all the way to limiter. Torque had gone up to 536nm
Still at 10psi.
Happy with this for now.

So there is an explanation for the loss of power from the last map. Basically very poor mapping.
Please - if your going to get anything mapped give area 52 a miss.
Anyway, we spent a few hours on Friday night going up and down the M69 and the results are great.
I took it for a power run tonight, results -

Up to 333 Rear wheel ponys. I think that's a massive improvement and it feels like a different car!

Torque should be up way sooner. What do your logs say about boost rise is it different then on the road ?

It was just a £30 power run, not sure the title matters that much
And im not sure, we'er going back out soon to do some more on the map so will have a look then.

An update after a while,
Its off the road for the time being have some bits done.
The turbo exhaust gasket has gone, so replacing that as well as a lot of small niggles that have been bothering me.
New pads and hopefully some new rear calipers.
Bigger injectors and another mapping session should see some more power.
Also aiming to get some bodywork done on the old girl - shes not getting any newer.

New year new start. Need to get this moving again.
First thing this year is some new injectors. These are the correct injectors for the omex and are rated to 550cc iirc.
These are the newer Bosch style ones.

These are slightly shorted than the old Bosch with a long thing that's designed for the new card with the injectors mounted direct to head etc. So some spacers where needed.

Putting the O rings back in position.

Now need to sort fitted these along with mapping.

How much does that amount of bodywork cost to have done out of interest?
The problem i find is finding someone that will do the work to a high enough standard that i'd be happy with

first things first id just like to start with -->
<-- ! ! !
Amazing thread! I love how you had set backs numerous times and never gave up and just pushed on untill you had it right! Alot of respect to you mate
I have the same throttle bodies and these adaptor plates i bought from german ebay with the ravmans recomendation:

I just cant for the life of me find an airbox to mate up to this! is it only the airbox that you have (the m5 one? ) and if so where did you get this from and how much should i be expecting to pay for one? ( if you dont mind me asking) >>

Its either these or going down the custom airbox route which would be a last resort as id prefer an original BMW part in there
Any advice would be appreciated mate
