Hey guys new to the site. Just recently bought all the stuff to turbo my 87 325i. I bought the Megasquirt plug and play ECU from the states and when it got here i went to go plug it in and it was three row plug ECU and the stock motronic was a two row. I guess In the states they never had the two row plug ECU so the guy had no idea about it. My question is now that i have everything for turboing my car besides an ECU what can i do to be able to tune my car that has this motronic 1.0 ECU in it? Thanks in advance

To be honest the best thing to do would be convert your engine to the motronic 1.3 loom and use your megasquirt.

However you may want to think about buying the loom attached to a low compression engine as yours will be high compression, and not very suited to to forced induction. It will have a static compression of 9.7:1 more if the head has been skimmed, where as the later lower compression runs 8.8:1, much more suited to a turbo.

If you are rebuilding yours, to take this new found power, the only thing needed to change the compression are the pistons from the later engine.

I can supply a chip to tweak the pre-facelift 073 ECU for a N/A engine.

However, if you want a turbo-specific chip, you could try PMing Ant for one...
