Bit stuck with this one
Got my charger all fitted as far back as it can go, had it running and it sounds awesome!
I have modded and welded a pulley on for the charger and plan to run the charger and power steering pump off the same belt for the time being. At the minute the crank is running alt/water pump belt then the SC pulley.
Problem i've got is my e28 rad slides down but the SC pulley just touches it so i need to gain a tad more space and don't know what to do as none of it can go any further back.
Allready re done my SC brackets to move it back and lost the power steering pulley so i could weld the SC crank pulley further back where it was and i thought that would have done it but still not enough and its doing my head in! Just need to get the rad in then shes done.
Are there any other slim radiator options that can be used or is there a way of modding my rad so it sits flush with the front panel?
Any advice much appreciated :thumb:

i have a E28 rad i used on my V8 which was suitable. it fits in place of the E30 unit but bigger.
post up some pics so we can have a look at the space you have to contend with buddy.

Yeah i'm also using the e28 rad.
Been running a m30 in my cab for about 5 years now so kinda wanted to stick with this rad. Just the space is proving to be a headache! May go to my local breakers tomorrow so i'll see if i can find a thinner rad that i can make work.
Doing some bits on it tomorrow so i'll take some pics

Just remember you might sacrifice the efficiency of how well you can lose heat via the rad if you go too thin :wink:

Thats cool, i want to stick with my original rad anyway as i got it new and i've been running it around a few years now and its been spot on.
May have it sorted now by smooting the edge of the SC pulley and bolting up the rad but its super tight.
Probably only got like 1/2 inch gap between the SC pulley and the rad
Mmm should be interesting :|
