Hi.
I am from Slovenija so i am sorry if my english is a little bad.
I have a couple of quetions about installing a turbo on a stock M50B25 engine.
the engine will be rebuild,new piston rings,gaskets,bearings.....
How much HP can i get out,and on how much psi(bar) will it run..
Wich turbo do you recomend?,intercooler.......

I am new at this so any help is welcome :)

ive read a few times that the internals on an m50 are good for 500bhp.................. thats more than enough in something that ways only 1200 kilo's 8O
A 2 door e30 with 8 cylinders, what could be better winkeye :D

You mean with stock pistons...?

gunni did one that run over 400bhp with just arp's and uprated headgasket 8O

They are generally good for 500hp on that. Quite common really, read around on sites like e30tech. Standard recipe.

Read somewhere the pistons tend to melt around 600hp. Con rods are good for more and crank is pretty bullet proof.

I'll be going for MLS head gasket or ringed block and standard h/g, undecided yet, ARP head studs, 666fab manifold (or VAC, both made by 666fab) and more than likely a holset hx35/40. Need to read into turbo's more.

Management will be taken care of with VEMS. Gunni does a plug and play jobbie at a reasonable price.

Do loads of research is my best advice. e30tech has a lot of very useful information and will save making loads of threads or PM'ing Gunni who must receive hundreds from dreamers
