is that the E28 oil filter housing?
i have the E32 one on mine, it's identical to the original one shape-wise, just with the two oil take-off ports on the rear.

Yes its E28. I would of have had the E32 but as im planning to use the M5 inlets this might get in the way. I also needed a small adapter screw to keep oil pressure. Ill get some pics of that. What cooler are you using? I was going to make some oil lines up and use a mocal.

i'm using a 325i cooler on mine with the metal pipes swapped between sides. this means some heating/bending/cutting of the pipes to get them to come out on the other side of the car. a bit of a bodge on the pipework side but it works

Done some work over the holiday, Took a few brakets out of the bay, filled a hole and painted.
Gearbox has been recon'd with all new bearings and gear linkages.
New clutch, brakets, tons of suff from bmw steelers.
Engine is today, went in from the bottom, alot easyer to put it in this way.
Subframe got blasted and painted along with the arb, wishbones and struts. Had powerflex wishbone and arb bushes fitted, new balljoints, droplinks and trackrod end. New engine mounts. Steering rack went in the parts washer and came out new!
So front end pretty much done and 'as new'. The wms four pots will be on the way to finish it off.
Next job is finish of the engine mounts. Then mani and exhaust system. Ill get some pics up.

The adapter plate was home made partly by me, then finished off by toby who had the tb's off me.
Have you got the 'stat housing to go with the tb's ?
