e36 bonnet sitting high after wing replacement! Help please.
Moderator: martauto
I've just fitted a replacement offside wing to my partners e36 coupe. My e30 has mega adjustment available but no so the e36. The wing came from a rear ended coupe & I know it's a pukka part not pattern part . Checked numbers and measured it with the removed (dented) wing. I am happy that I've got it perfectly gapped to the door etc. But having bolted down the bonnet hinge to match with the witness marks on removal it is proud of the wing. I can't see any adjustment to lower the bonnet profile! Any ideas would be good. Thank you. JJ

Is just one side high?
Mates just picked up a touring which I suspect has seen some front end action at some point as there are a couple signs, anyway while I was working on it I noticed the drivers side bonnet was sitting high and it irritated me. Had a quick look for any adjustments that could be made and couldn't find any so I braced the right side with my hand and applied a twisting force with my left, couple tweaks and it now sits perfectly.
Weather or not there is some actual adjustment I don't know, but I wasn't going to waste any time on this £600 bridge dodger
