The SC (which is what is shown above I think) was based around the Senator / Royal base. The 3.0 straight six was a superb engine, but having owned an 83 Senator, I have to say that it was a great chassis and running gear, surrounded by a shite quality build. The Bitter was a great solution. And a good looking one at that.
Early cars (the 70's ones) had a Chevy V8 I believe.
Erich Bitter is still at it I think.

I was part owner of a Senator 3.0E about 12yrs ago, was an "upgrade" from the Mk2 2.3 Ghia which we used to cruise about in. The Mk2 was always the nicer car for me.B7 wrote:The SC (which is what is shown above I think) was based around the Senator / Royal base. Coincidence there. I used to have 2.8 Ghia's. I fancied a change and moved to the Senator 3.0E CD. Regretted it. Had mine in 1989 and it was a late 83 on the A. And it was going rusty already.CaesarBob wrote:I was part owner of a Senator 3.0E about 12yrs ago, was an "upgrade" from the Mk2 2.3 Ghia which we used to cruise about in.
