Chaps,

bit of a random thought/ question;

does the year a car is registered really define the personalised registrations allowed to be transferred onto it??

So;

IF a car carrys a "55" plate registration since manufacture, but it was actually "registered" in 2006.. COULD you transfer a private "06" reg onto it ??

this shouldn't really sway my decision to buy a car...but i think it might just...

:?

I believe you cannot transfer a plate onto a car that is newer than the car so the answer is ,no 06 plate for the 55 plate turd.

You cannot put a newer plate on a car ie, make the car look newer. End of. Plate has to be of the same reg date range or older.
