Definitely not the worst car Ford made in the last 40 years.
They are actually quite well screwed together and all were made in Germany.
The only one to have as Trev says is the 24V cosworth one.
The front and rear styling do let them down though but the last of the line models had smoked lights all round and a front grill that was mostly colour coded on the surround instead of chrome, all of which helped town down that garish front end. Needs to be in a dark colour though with the 17" wheels.

Late front end

Late front end

A bit like most of the BMW range from the last 10 years.Andyboy wrote:They had a LOT of issues with wiring/electrics on these, and a lot of that was due to water ingress.
One of my old Bosses had one of these , a late 2.9 with the smoked lights, very nice drive, just an 'orrible front end. Loaded with every gadget going.
A mate of mine has a 2.9 Cosworth lump, in his Transit work van. Great when pulling up to the lights, alongside a 911.
