Waste of an escort shell

It's becoming popular to do this kind of thing now as prices for Escort parts to rebuild a shell etc are stupid money.
I remember seeing in a mag (PPC I think) a Mk1 Escort with complete Nissan running gear and then earlier this year, there were 3 or 4 similar builds at a local airfield test day for a South West motor club.

Wasn't there someone who posted on here ages ago with a Mk1 Cortina shell on an E30 floor pan? Wonder what happened to that.
