Ok so the time has come to replace the tyres on my daily turd;
54 plate Volvo S40 T5 on 205/50/R17
I'm after 4 new tyres that offer decent grip comfort and don't howl like the Pirelli/ditchfinder combo thats on it now.
Being a T5 the ride is pretty firm as is so would really like a tyre with some give.
Looking to spend a max of £110 per corner (can fit at my mates garage).
What do zoners recomend? Reviews online are sketchy at best but Toyo's seem pretty highly regarded.
Tyres what do you favour?

Continental sport contact 2 or 3. There is now a 5 but ive not tried them.
The twos and threes are awesome though and better than the budget toyOs in every respect other than price.
If you can stretch to it then Michelin pilot sports but the contis are not far behind them in terms over over all grip.

I run the sport contact 2's on my E30 and wouldn't use any other tyre for road use now for an E30 in the sizes i use.
The sport contacts were also factory fitment on many performance cars including some Porsches, M3's M5's etc.
Great grip wet or dry and decent ware rates for the grip levels.
