I had a TVR S1 for a few years but that was 10 years ago. Been looking for ages for something to join the E30 and finally discovered that at 6 foot I do fit in an elise so in a moment of madness I took a test drive the a rest as they say is history.

Some pics, may need these 8) as its a little bright.

Grand total in the E30 last year was 1,800 miles. Pitiful considering it was my only car.

Thanks. Only had it two weeks so still getting used to it. I thought my E30 with the suspension mods handled well but this is in a different league.

Getting in and out of them is sad work, especially when you have a laptop on your lap(mapping) and wires all over the shop!

So is that a K series donk?

I'd love one, but it would have to be as a second car. At least that would be the case if it was possible to answer the words "lotus" and "1986" to the questions "date of birth" and "manufacturer" to the insurance company without sending them into histerics. :?

Good luck with it though dude. Looks awesome. Are you going to take it on the track? :D

It is a second car to the E30. There are some benefits of being an old git (40 years young) E30 group 17, Elise group 20, just under GBP 1,000 insurance fully comp for the both of them,

I am still getting the hang of it, but will probably do some driver training days, skid pan etc and then move onto tracks with an instructor.

The one that I really enjoyed was one that had a VHPD K series and 187 rear wheel power(we tweeked it a bit).

It was a bit of an animal and revved to 8k. The noise was pretty epic at around 5k+, if a little wearing after a while.

Grip levels are pretty good and the car talks to you VERY well. I find the a pleasure to drive if a little tramliney on the more track focused ones.

What exhaust has it got on there?

I think I have done my modifications with the E30, this is staying standard. It does not need anything.

I think you can increase coolant channels or the hoses to make the coolant system more efficient, therefore reducing the chances of another head gasket failure the old k is famed for. The forum is very good. Get a new exhaust on this and you'll be surprised the difference it makes.

Love the sound from the donk, I just rev'ed it constantly, even when stopped.

Very nice!! I think they stopped being a bit out there with the S2 compared to the ones as the colours are all boring other than yours. Everything else is a silverish colour.
